AMANO - Pre-Columbian Textile Museum

The Amano Museum in Lima boasts the largest collection of textiles and related artifacts in the country, with over 12,000 pieces ranging from pre-Columbian to contemporary works. The museum was originally located in Amano’s private residence in the Pueblo Libre district of Lima, and was later moved to its current location in the Miraflores district.

The Amano Textile Museum has recently undergone a complete renovation and is now considered to have the most extensive and impressive collection of Peruvian textiles. The museum is a must-visit destination in Lima, particularly for those interested in textiles and history.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, with appointments required for visits on Mondays. General admission costs S/. 35, while Peruvian adults over 65 receive a discounted price of S/. 25, and Peruvian students can enter for S/. 15.

Guided tours are available for an additional fee, with a simple tour priced at S/. 60 per group and a specialized tour priced at S/. 100 per group. If your group has more than 10 people, prices may vary, and you are advised to contact the museum prior to your visit.
