El Gato Tulipán is an artistic movement that brings together artists of different nationalities and disciplines, all united by a common cause: to create itinerant art spaces that break down the barrier of social exclusion through various artistic manifestations.
During the years 2009 and 2015, the association carried out a series of large-format collective exhibitions, workshops, and artistic interventions in different spaces and with different educational institutions, generating a wave of cultural impact in the local community.
In 2016, El Gato Tulipán opened its own Cultural Center in the heart of the Barranco district, led by the talented duo of Patricio Crespo and Pilar Casaleiz. With a strong commitment to the promotion and dissemination of cultural projects, especially in music and visual art, this space is a welcoming home for diverse artistic manifestations that promote access to a permanent and diverse cultural offer for citizens.
Since then, El Gato Tulipán has carried out more than 15 individual and collective exhibitions, providing a platform for over 20 national and international artists in disciplines ranging from sculpture to street art, photography, ceramics, painting, and performance.
If you are an art lover or simply looking for a space to be inspired, you cannot miss the vibrant and diverse cultural scene of El Gato Tulipán. This place is a true hidden gem in the heart of Lima, which promotes the meeting of cultural agents and seeks to reach new audiences. Dare to discover it!
