Municipal Theater of Lima

The Teatro Forero first opened in 1920, but was bought by the city of Lima and renamed the Teatro Municipal.

The theater has hosted operas, ballet and drama since the 1920’s. After a devastating fire in 1998 and 10 years of reconstruction, the traditional theater in the city was re-inaugurated in 2010. Opera, ballet, theater and music can all be found at this beautiful theater in the center of Lima.

In the courtyard outside they often have various fairs and food events.
